Go Big!
It’s time to get honest with yourself.
How do you show up in life? Many of us play it safe in life, get comfortable, and become adverse to change. As humans, we intuitively know that growth requires change, whether it’s replacing bad habits with beneficial ones or forcing yourself to look at what’s not working in your life. It often means stepping out of that comfort zone, maybe risking approval. Even when we know in our hearts that we benefit from growth, it can still feel scary. Think back on a situation where you tried something new, and you slayed it. Remember how satisfying it felt. Now, ask yourself, how am I playing now? Am I where I want to be in my career, my relationships, in my life? Am I playing not to lose? If the answer is yes to any of those, it’s time to play large!
I’m not talking about how large your house is or how much stuff you have. I’m talking about feeling good about where you are right here and now. Thriving because you are not holding yourself back from going after what you want in life, not giving up despite whatever crap life throws your way.
If I’ve learned nothing else from this pandemic, it is that -THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES! Get uncomfortable, keep learning, and growing. Find purpose in your work, find the silver linings because they are always there if you actively look for them. Be brave and put yourself out there to win the life you want…and don’t forget to acknowledge what’s good in your life every day.
